“The Right to Food” Seminar at the Swedish Parliament with speakers: the Swedish minister of development cooperation; Barbara Ekwall, FAO Right to Food Unit, FAO representative of the South-South cooperation programme; Flavio Valente, FIAN International; Federica Donati from the Secretariat of Jean Ziegler Other participants are from FIAN, UBV and the Church of Sweden. A panel discussion will take place with several MP's or MEP's from the 7 different political parties. Organized by FIAN Sweden, the Swedish Green Party, the FAO Nordic Office and other NGOs, in Stockholm, Sweden.

An OP-ED piece that will run during the thanksgiving holiday (October 6-7). An interfaith worship service around the RTF on the evening of October 15. Food Charter is hosting a breakfast at the Provincial legislature on the morning of Oct 16. A half day workshop on the RTF, focused on the nature of state obligations. Winnipeg Harvest will attempt to break some records on food drives on October 20 and link the publicity to obligations to fulfilment the RTF. Organized by Canadian Foodgrains Bank, Winnipeg Harvest, Manitoba Food Charter and Mennonite Central Committee. In Canada.
