On the request of Brazilian civil society organisations, FIAN International and a number of other organisations carried out a fact finding mission to explore the impact of the expansion of monocultures for agroenergy on the Human Right to Adequate Food in Brazil. The mission took place from the 3rd until the 10th of April. One of the delegations of the mission visited the Guaraní Kaiowá indigenous people in Mato Grosso do Sul, which is one of the cases of the Face It Act Now campaign. The Guaraní Kaiowá face severe violations of the human right to food because of a lack of access and control over their ancestral lands. The link below will lead you to the preliminary findings of the international fact finding mission and some short illustrative videos.
